So, a low key birthday turned into 2 parties with 2 seperate themes and 2 different groups of people.... I know, I know, I'm CRAZY!!! But it turned out really well... even when it started to rain and we had to do half the party inside! This party was a Lalaloopsy party with Lalalicorice, Lalalollypops and Lalalemonaide. We had a slip and slide, a little pool of water, water balloons and squirt toys to take home. Those in attendance included: Minie and Poppy Jackson, Bo White, Jillian Sachs, Porter LeBaron, Debbie and Anna Dooley, Katelin and Morgan Grudzinski, Logan Nordhoff, and Annie Lofgren. Hallie had such an amazing time with her friends and LOVED all the gifts that her friends were so generous to bring. We hope that all her friends had a great time and thank you to all the parents of these amazing kids! We love you all!!

Every year we try to take pictures of all the grand kids as a gift to Judy. This year didn't go as well as it usually does. First, as you can tell, Brayden (the youngest of the group) was not too happy to be there. We didn't get a single picture that he was happy in... In fact, he was crying in all of them. But that makes the picture what it is and we wouldn't change that memory for anything. Second, this was the last day in April, so we expected really great weather... or not! It was SO cold, as you can see from the red noses and cheeks and the wind would not stop, as you can tell by Hallie's hair in all the pictures. Third, we had a hard time finding a great place to do the pictures and with 7 kids in tow, you kindda have to just pick a spot and go with it! So this is what we got... not as great as last year and we can only hope that next years are a little better... But I still love the tradition, the memories and the cute Mills' kids!!!

We met grandma and grandpa (or grandpa and grandpa as Carter likes to call them) at the park. We had so much fun playing on the playground and throwing the Frisbee!
Grandpa is so nice to let Carter man climb all over him and give him a "pony ride"!

Dad is the best at frisbee, but the kids think they are pretty great at it too! Hallie likes to give everyone lessons on how to throw it! In fact, she told dad that she wanted to give Grandma lessons... She didn't really need them, but Hallie wanted to teach someone!!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for being such awesome grandparents to our kids! They sure love you two!

Hallie's First Day Of Preschool

These pictures are of Hallie's first day of preschool. She has been going for a week now, and she is loving it!!! I went to be a room mom today and it was so fun to see how she acts at school. She tries to boss everyone around a little bit, but overall she was a good listener and a great helper. She is very smart and does very well at listening and obeying the instructions. She has a little boy in her class (Tate) that wants to sit by her and always saves her a spot. She told me after the 3rd day of school that she wants to marry him! Every day she tells me that she wants to be the last one to be picked up! It is so crazy that she is old enough to go to school, even if it is just preschool!!! We love you, Hallie! We are excited to see you learn and grow!

Here we are at Gardner Village and we went "to see the witches" with some of our greatest friends! Here are a few pictures of the day!

I thought that this was a fairly good picture only because all the kids are atleast looking in the general direction of the camara. What cute kids, right?

Here is Hallie on the horse! She has no fear when it comes to horses. The times that we have done a pony ride, she always chooses the biggest horse and sits on it by herself with the biggest smile on her face!

I know that this is just another picture, but we had such a fun time there! Iguess thats why you see these pictures every year in the month of October! P. S. Jenn- your kids are really good at looking at the camara when it's picture time. They were looking/ smiling in most of my pictures!

Here is our BIG 3 year old. She just had her 3rd birthday this past weekend and it was so fun! Here are some pictures from the PARTY!

She got lots of good gifts from amazing friends and family... thank you to all who came and thanks for the gifts too! She loves them!

The theme of the party was "Polk-a-dots", so there is her cake. The funny part about this picture is that it was really windy and the candles wouldn't stay lit. So she didn't really make the candles go out, but we made her think she did.

Here is a picture of one of the games we played. Each of the kids had a balloon tied to their ankle and had to try to pop everyone else's balloon. They wanted to be the last kid with a balloon. Congrats to Carson and Mason! They were the winners!

Top 10 NBA players I hate.

In honor of the NBA playoffs soon approaching I decided to do my first blog. You may notice I don’t like players that flop and have attitude. Special thanks to my brother Mark for the insipation.

1. Manu Ginobili- Biggest flopper in the NBA. Cheats his way to a lot of easy free throws. The NBA said they were going to fine players for flopping this year. Is Manu working for free? On top of that he is sooooo annoying. I started asking my friends who their number 1 is, and it is always Manu. He is a shoe in for number one. I'm sure this list could fluctuate based on who the Jazz loose to in the playoffs, but for now it's Ginobili.

2. Bruce Bowen- This guy should foul out of every game by the end of the first half. They say he is good at defense, I just think he is a dirty player. He will all but take a guy’s head off and then still complain. In his mind he is yet to commit a foul in his life. They should force him to be a referee for a few games.
3. Kenyon Martin- He is a punk. He only cares about himself. He represents what is wrong with the NBA, sports, and the world. How can a guy be so successful and be so appalling? I guarantee his own mom completely agrees with me.
4. Luis Scolla- Another classic flopper from Argentina. What is in the water down there? It is probably the soccer flop waiting for the yellow card. He has also mastered the fine art of annoying me. Sometimes when I watch the Rockets play the Jazz I have to take a sanity break and scream into a pillow.
5. Derek fisher- Hello controversy. To all Jazz fans that don’t boo Fisher, shame on you. He claims he needed to be released from the Jazz for his daughters health. Then he moves to LA and continues to see his doctor in New York( LA is further away from NY then Utah for the slow person). Then when he plays the Jazz he knows exactlywhat plays they are running and completely gets in the way. He is also the most underrated flopper in the league. At least the Jazz got something for him when he left, oh wait they didn’t. Look at that picture, he is laughing at all the Jazz fans. Boo to you Fish.
6. T-mac- see Kenyon Martin
7. Kobe Bryant- no explanation needed. (I love this picture)
8. Ron Artest- see Kenyon Martin. If you can’t tell, I don’t like players that are chumps. I do like to watch the You Tube video of Artest going A-wall and drilling a couple of drunk fans in the crowd. I can’t say why?
9. Joakim Noah- the only player on the list that I don’t have a great reason, he just bugs me. The way he goes about just irks me. He is just an annoying person. I asked several people about him and they all shiver with annoyance.
10. Dikembe Mutombo- Obviously I don’t like the Rockets,lakers, and Spurs. 8 of my 10 are from those teams. Trust me, if you saw Dikembe wag his finger at a player after he blocks their shot you would understand. Nevermind the last 10 times you just got worked. It's like the bronze medalist talking trash to the gold medalist on the podeum. I hope that Collins totally stuffed him in this picture!!!

A CHAMPIONSHIP- I just want the Jazz to win one championship. I want to yell at my tv, bang pots and pans through my neighborhood, drive around honking my car horn at everyone regardless of time of day, run through the airport chanting "Utah Jazz, Utah Jazz", get championship apparel (hat, shirt, blanket speedo), cheer at the parade downtown, and sing "we are the champions".

This is the first Easter dress that I bought for Hallie at this Dress sale. They have a good veriety and really cute dresses. The dresses come from California and are very good quality. Although it is a sale, the dresses are in the $40-70 price range if I remember correctly.

This was her Easter dress a year ago. The style of the two dresses are completly different and I love them both. The thing I loved about this dress was the bubble bottom. Come if you are interested and especially if you are planing on buying an Easter dress for your daughter. See if there is anything you like! Don't feel like you have to come and/or buy if you don't want to! Just wanted to get the word out!

Cabbage Patch Land

While we were in Georgia, we took Hallie to Cabbage Patch Land (AKA BabyLand)

She Loves babies right now and was so excited to go... almost as excited as I was to take her.

Brian and Jessica came with us and made the trip that much more enjoyable! Hallie loves them!
While we were there, there was a cabbage patch baby being born. They show you how they are born and let everyone as a group name the newborn. We yelled out Carter for the new cabbage patch kid's middle name.

Carter did so well... just slept the whole time! What a kid!

We bought Hallie a Cabbage Patch doll while we were there and let her pick it out! She loves it and I'm sure that Lilly (her doll) will make it on the blog eventually!

Christmas In Georgia

Sorry this is late... At this point, I am adding this for the sheer pourpose of remembering Christmas and not to tell everyone about it. Hallie LOVES her cousins and had a great time spending every waking second with them. Her first question every morning was, "Where are Tanner and Mason?" The biggest problem we had was that she went from only having to share every once and a while to sharing 24/7. It was quite the adjustment, but it was needed!

Here is Christmas morning! We got some good stuff and it was SO GREAT being with the family! We were able to talk to Brandon... the highlight of my day! We had a great time and am so thankful to my parents for putting up with us for so long!

One Wedding and a Blessing

We have been so busy lately and had so much going on, that blogging has gone way down on the priority list. I am sorry for that, but here is an update on what has been going on...My brother, Brian, got married on November 21st to Jessica. Everything went well and the sealing was beautiful!

I didn't get very many pictures at the wedding, but here are a few that I got! I was a bridesmade and Hallie was a "Flower girl".

She was so excited that she got to wair a pretty dress and her favorite part was her flower on her wrist.

We blessed Carter on November 23rd. The day was great and I really appreciate every one that was able to come and support us! I totally stressed about it, but it was great!

Carter looked so cute and he was so easy going that day! He didn't make a peep thru the wonderful blessing that Magic gave him!

Halloween!

We hope that everyone had a Happy Halloween! I had to blog about these cute kids in their adorable costumes!

Hallie was a Falcon's Cheerleader. My mom and dad found it for her. Carter was a dragon or a dinosaur or something green with spikes. Wayne and Judy gave him his costume.
Hallie LOVED trick or treating this year. After the first house, she understood what to do and she was good to go after that.

We spent Halloween with my family because my mom was in town, but we weren't able to get a picture of all of the kids in their costumes together. So we dresses put them in the costumes just to get some pictures. My sister, Amy, and her husband, Jonathan, were in town with their kids. It was so great to see them and spend time with their kids. We don't get to see them too often.

Pumpkins

Hallie was crazy about pumpkins this Halloween! We would go on walks around the neighborhood just to find all the pumpkins. Grandma and Papa took her and her cousins to get pumpkins and she LOVED it! What a fun age she is at!

Hallie Loves Baby Carter!

Things are going well here at our house. Hallie really loves Carter and is very excited to have him around. In the morning, she always askes where he is and wants to see him and wants him to wake up! This involves her getting up in his face and saying, "Wake up Baby Carter!!!"
When we were taking these pictures, Carter had the hic-ups and every time he hic-uped, Hallie would laugh histericlly. This resulted in her getting the hic-ups, so they both had them. It was really funny!

She is being very helpful and she is being a great big sister. But she is still a 2 year old, so she is a little difficult at times. So far, things are going really well and we have very little to complain about and a ton to be grateful for.

I was enduced on Thursday morning and by 2:30 was at a 4 and in active lador. I got my epidural at about 3:30 and by 5:00 was at a 7. My doctor came to break my water at about 5:30 and about 10 minutes after that, I was at a 10 and ready to go. I pushed about 1 1/2 times and he was here. It was really great and I could not have hoped for anything more!

This is our first family photo after Carter was born! Here we go... Mother of 2 and already loving it! I think I was so ready for him to come that I don't care that it is going to be WAY more work! I am grateful to my mom that she is here to help! Without her this would be too overwhelming!

Hallie is really doing well with the whole thing. She is always excited to see baby Carter and she is behaving normal for me. Magic on the other hand is having to deal with Hallie's evil tantrum twin, Kallie, and he is not enjoying that. I don't know why she is being so bad for him, but it is bad!

This is us 2 + years ago with Hallie. She was so sweet and everything concerning the birth and hospital went so great! I am hoping that this baby comes as smoothly and that we have another great experience. BUT WAITING SUCKS!!!!! I am so ready for this baby to come and for us to be able to get this show on the road! I go into see the doctor on Tuesday, and I am hoping and praying that he will have some good news for me! If he doesn't... extreme measures will have to be taken! We WILL be having our baby this week. Period. End Of Story!

My friends and I started a play group this past week and decided that while the weather is still good that we would go to the petting zoo. Here is a picture of Hallie and the goats.

Here is Logan with a goat.... there were pretty much only goats for the kids to pet.
They also liked the waterfall and throwing rocks into it. (Sorry to Annie that I didn't get a picture of just her and the goats!)
Then we rode the horses and Hallie REALLY loved that! In fact, believe it or not, it was her favorite part. I know, I know, you're asking yourself... What about the goats? Why wouldn't that have been her favorite part? The goats looked awesome! What a weird kid!
It was her first time riding a horse and I thought that she might be afraid, but she got right up and held on by herself. She even cried when she had to get off.

Logan was the only other kid to ride the horse and he was a little scared. Brittany was right by his side the whole time, but that is understandable. Like I said, I thought that was how Hallie would be acting. It really was fun and I can't wait to have something to do each week to get us out of the house!!! Thanks Brittany, Jenn, and Angie!

Happy Belated Birthday!

For Magic's birthday (almost a month ago) we went to Logan for the weekend. One of the days that we were up there, we went to Bear Lake. That is where these pictures are from.Hallie loved, LoVeD, LOVED the beach. She had so much fun playing in the sand and in the water. We didn't think to bring a pale and shovel, so we had to use a Styrofoam cup instead. Way to go Mom!
That didn't stop her and dad from building a sand castle. She was a pretty good helper, but sometimes would hinder more than help.
She still talks about building a sand castle with dad.
Let's be honest, Magic did most of the work and here's the finished product. With not bucket to help define the shape, I think it turned out really well. Good work Magic and Hallie!

And to prove that I was really there, here's a picture of Hallie and I playing in the water. I'm glad that this picture was from far away and not close up. We had a great time and hope to do a family trip at least once a year.

Hallie's 2nd Birthday!

It's Hallie's Birthday Today! I can't believe that she is 2 years old already! She is getting so big and so independent. She loves to sing, play outside and at the pool, watch movies, helping me with cleaning and cooking, play with friends and family, and play with toys.

One thing that I love about her is how much she LOVES her mom and dad. She is a great little girl and she has blessed our lives so much! We love her and hope to help her have a better life!

Now to explain the pictures! We took her to Toys'R'Us to buy her some toys for her birthday. She had a ton of fun and thought she needed two of everything. We took her to the pool and to McDonalds and we have hopefully made her feel really special. Happy Birthday Hallie!!!! We Love You!!!

4th Of July

My parents were in town for the 4th so we were able to go spend time with them and Amber and Dan. Here are a few pictures from that morning when we went to the Granite Parade.

It was a really short and fun little Parade. The kids got plenty of candy and loved being outside. We had a great day and a fun time!

... And The Award For Worst Blogger Goes To... Yours Truly. Sorry that I have has a lack of enthusiasm for blogging lately. Well, we went to the ultra sound last week and found out that we are having a baby BOY!!! Here he is!

Fun with Cousins

Hallie loves her cousins, infact she talks about them all the time! I am so grateful that she is close with them and only wish that she could be with her Georgia cousins more! A shout out to Jefferson and Hayden! We miss you!We watched Ashley and Cameron a few weeks ago. They feel asleep at our house and then Scott and Christie came and got them.

Kylie came to play with Hallie while we went out and, thanks to Kierstin, we have this cute picture of the girls.
Mason and Hallie weren't really singing, but it sure looks like it! They really could be twins, not cousins!
Tanner and Mason stayed the night 2 weeks ago and after dinner we had Popcorn on the kitchen floor so there wouldn't be a huge mess! We had a ton of fun with them that night!

A Mother Of Five or A Mother of Two?

Last week I was up in Bountiful being a mother of five. My aunt and uncle went to Hawaii and I watched their four kids and Hallie = five. It was hard at times, but I'm glad that I can take it one at a time. And speaking of taking it one at a time, we are pregnant again! Yes, it's true! I am about 12 weeks pregnant and will be due November 8th. We are really excited and hope that all goes well. So... Mother of Two wins!

It's so wierd that Easter was so earliy this year! We had a nice day, but Hallie didn't get an Easter basket because this is the last year that she won't understand it! We did get some candy though. We hope that you all had a Happy Easter!

This Tag came at the perfect time… right around Valentine’s Day! I have been thinking about my man a lot lately and how lucky I am, so this will be an easy tag to do!

What is his full name? Ryan Joseph (or Magic to many including me)
How long have you been together? 5 years and 4 months starting from the first date.
How old is he? 29 years old
Who eats more? For sure me! He does a good job of knowing when to stop… not me! Not the “Bottomless Pit”
Who said I love you first? I did. We were at the Spectrum (Utah State basketball stadium). He had a key for his job and we would go and lay on the couch there. He had fallen asleep and I was snuggling with him and thinking about how great he was and it just hit me. I think I woke him up just to tell him that and he said it right back… no question that he was thinking it.
Who’s Taller? Obviously him by a ways! I love it though! I can ware any size heals I want!
Who sings better? I think it is really close. He would probably say me, but don’t let him fool you! He can really sing. He won me over when he sang to me and played the guitar.
Who is Smarter? Again, he would probably say me, but I would not have been able to stay in school as long as he has! He is really a smart guy… I mean he is taking the CPA exam for heaven sakes! You gotta have brains for that!
Who does laundry? Me, but it’s not like he doesn’t know how. He just doesn’t have the time.
Who Pays the bills? I do, but that’s about all I do concerning the finances… I guess that’s what happens when you’re married to an accountant.
Who sleeps on the right? I do because it’s closer to the door. I would be on the left if I didn’t have to walk all the way around the bed in the dark to get up with Hallie.
Who cooks? I “cook” but I’m a very lazy cook. I only make meals 2-3 times a week, but it doesn’t make my hubby want to do it. He’ll eat just about anything even if it’s cerial for dinner 5 times in one week! But he does think I’m a good cook when I put in the effort.
Who drives? He does. It is very rare when I do.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me first and it took him a while to do it. We had been dating for about 2 weeks which was unusual for me. We were outside and it was so cold and he was really nervous to kiss me. It seemed like it too forever, but only because it was so cold. He was really cute!
Who’s more stubborn? That’s a hard one because we are both pretty easy going. We do have our moments though. I will say that we tie on that one.
Who asked who out first? He asked me out I think… the way I remember it, his friend asked me out for him and then he made sure I knew he wanted me to come. (Thanks Nate!)
Who proposed? He did. He rented the only limo in Logan and took me to a gazebo that was lit with 100 candles and layed with 2 dozen rose pettles. He had our song playing in the background and we danced and then he got on one knee. I was really surprised and very happy! It was so perfect!
Who has more friends? Probably me, but everyone likes Magic! He has lots of good friends that go back a long way.
Who’s more sensitive? For sure me, but he always knows just what I need and what to do for me. He is very sensitive, but not too sensitive!
Who has more siblings? I do. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers… 6 kids total. He has 1 sister and 2 brothers… 4 total.
Who wares the pants? We have a very good relationship, so most of the time we each have a leg in, but if I had to chose one… it would be him. Maybe he would say different, but I would say him.

We took these pictures a while ago. We got a gift for someone and the bag was just the right size for Hallie! Isn't she so cute?

I've decided that it is 10 times harder to blog with an 18 month old than any other age we've experianced!!! She wants to be right here with me touching everything! Oh well! We will just do the best we can!

18 Month Olds Are A Joy!

18 months has some getting use to. As you can tell, one second we are happy... the next we are sad! Drama Queens everywhere... LOOK OUT! There's a new girl in town! Hallie is really fun when she wants to be and VERY difficult when she wants to be! If something isn't right in her mind, you will know about it! This may take a lot of learning, communicating and most of all, patience! Wish us luck!

Let It Snow!

Sorry it has been so long since the last blog. I don't know where the time has gone or even what I've been doing to excuse my laziness. I feel like I have been busy though and it will only get worse during Christmas! It has snowed two weekends in a row here and the first weekend I took Hallie out on our porch and showed her the snow. She loved it and even cried when we had to go inside!

We'll give you some clues... She loves shoes (a real girly girl)!

Her Favorite Spot

Magic got this great idea of taking the shelf out of the little dresser door and clearing it out so that Hallie could play inside it. She LOVES it. She is just the right size for it and just loves hiding in there.
She was playing in there forever that night, and now we can't go into her room without her playing in there. She has also started putting toys in there and closing the door on them. Then she will open it and be so surprised that the toy is in there... like she didn't just put it in there.
At first we had to close the door for her...
then we pulled out the handy dandy duck tape and attached it to the inside of the door so she could close it herself.

Halloween

Sorry that I am a few days late on this. We had a really fun Halloween and Hallie could not have been more cute! She really liked the whole idea of Trick-or-Treating. By the end of it, her bucket was dragging because it was too heavy, but you COULD NOT take it from her. It was really cute when she finally got it and would take the candy from the people and put it in her bucket. It was a lot of fun and I am really glad that we took her out! First time Trick-or-Treating was a success!

Pumpkins

We decided that with a 15 month old that we would paint pumkins instead of carving pumpkins... what were we thinking? She had paint everywhere!!!
She was loving life, but had to take a bath right after! She was only entertained for a little while though, so she didn't even paint on her pumpkin.

The blue one is "Hallie's", but Magic did the painting and then I did the lettering. Just in case you can't read it, it says Happy "Hallie"ween. It looks a little more like an easter egg than a pumpkin, but that's ok! The other one is mine and Magic's, but Magic was giving Hallie a bath... so that one is mine!

The Magic Fort

Well, I finished Eclips (the third book in the Twilight series and my favorite so far), so life returns to normal. Back to being a mom and wife!

Yesterday, Magic decided to make a fort for Hallie. We had never made one for her before and she LOVED it!!! It was literally the coolest fort I had ever seen! It was really fun for all of us to play in together!

We had to teach Hallie that she had to crawl in the fort or her head would hit the blankets. She only crawled half the time though.

This was the entrance and the inside of the Fort. The Love Sacs really made a cool addition to the fort!

This was the BIG part of the tent! it was under the desk and couch! It really was SO fun!

Twilight

Dang All of you who got me into the Twilight books! I read the first one in a day and a half and then read New Moon in three and a half days. I am currently reading Eclips right now! I haven't done anything but read and neglect my family! I obviously haven't bloged and this is all you're getting so that I can go read! A spcial thanks to Paige and Jenn for letting me borrow you books! Hope all is going well with each of you!

The other night Hallie just wanted to sit on the couch with dad. She is usually all over the place, but she was content to sit with dad. I couldn't help but to get the camera out! Man... I'm really turning into a bloger now, huh?

Karaoke Revolution

Tonight our friends, Lorin and Paige & daughter Polly, came over. We were looking for something fun to do, so we played Karaoke Revolution. It is an awesome game and we highly recomend it to anyone! Even if you think that you can't sing... you will still love it! Here are some pictures of the fun night!

~Us Girls were really getting into it, but it payed off! We both recieved perfect scores! (We are just that good)

~The Guys tore it up! Their songs both went Platinum!

~And the night wouldn't have been complete without the little girls showing off their skills too!

Hallie Jennifer

Hallie is our 14 month old. She is so cute and we are so lucky to have her! She likes so many things right now, but her favorite is her dad. In the morning, if dad is still there when she gets up, she will have nothing to do with mom! She follows dad around and defiantly delays him leaving. If she notices that he is leaving, she will cry for him! It is really cute to have such a daddy's girl! It is also really nice to have a break when he gets home too because she is so excited to have someone else to play with other than mom.

She enjoys reading books, playing with toys and friends (not sharing toys with friends though), copying people, pushing things (anything), playing on the stairs (she's fallen down them about 4 times already... you'd think she would learn), and watching Little Einsteins. She is a really good eater too! She loves bananas, hot dogs, grilled cheese, pb & j's, and Go-Garts! She is walking EVERYWHERE and getting into EVERYTHING!!!

She is so entertaining!!! Magic and I watch her perform for hours without getting tiered! She is so great and a huge blessing in our lives! We wouldn't be the people we are today without her!
